worries
about
work for
a
little
while.
My
dear dear
darling!
After the
sad times of
my
banishment
up
here have
come
to
an
end,
mama
and I
will
come once
to
Zurich
to
see
where
my
darling
dreams
away
his
days,
I
am
looking
forward
to that
so
much.
Then I will
arrange
everything
the
way
I like
it,
and
you
will enjoy
your
little
study
room
twice
as
much.
And
now some more
"school talk." I like to teach
very
much, all
the children love
me,
and I love them
too.
But
obey they
must
sweetheart, and that
only
because I
am
so
terribly
cross.
They
are
always
as
quiet
as
little mice, and
they
open
their little mouths and
noses
so
that
a
lot of wisdom
(especially
mathematics)
may come
in,
and they
are
terribly
respectful.
A
little boy in the first
grade,
who
shares
with
you
a
facial feature and, imagine that, whose
name
is also
Albert,
has it
especially
good with
me,
I want to
help
him with his
lessons and, in
general,
love him
ever so
much. It's
sometimes
quite
strange, something
comes over me
when he looks at
me
and I always
believe that
you
are
looking
at
your
little
sweetheart.
Good
night,
darling.
Thousands
of heartfelt
greetings

My

The beautiful Christmas
time
now
draws
near
again,
to
you
it will
be
doubly
welcome this
year
as
it
will
reunite
you
with
your
family
after whom
you
surely
yearn very
much. To
us,
too, it
brings
a
most
anxiously
awaited visit, Albert will
probably
arrive
one
week from
today.
The rascal has become
frightfully lazy,
one can
notice the
absence of
loving admonition,
for
the regularity
of his letters leaves
much to
be desired.
E.g., I have been
waiting
in vain for
news
for
these last three
days;
I will have
to
give
him
a
thorough
talking-to
once
he'll be
here. Will
it
help? [...]

My
dear Miss!
Each
day
I make
plans
to write
you,
but
when
Albert is here I do
not
accomplish anything:
There is
so
much
laughing, joking,
and
music-making going
on
that there is not enough time for
anything
else.
A
completely different life moved in with
him;
he looks
excellent,
he
has
even grown
some more &
he has developed
a
gigantic appetite.

Maya has
now
taken
over
the role of her brother's
accompanist,
he
is
very
satisfied with
her,
for she has
improved
very
much.
On
the
whole, the two
are
very
happy
