I do believe that one should not dispense with condensers, because they afford

From a competent (Socialist) source I heard that the campaign in question here
is politically partisan in
character[1]
and could be harmful to our aid-for-Russia pro-
gram. I therefore keenly regret not to be able to follow your invitation. It is hard
for me to say no and most particularly so to such a highly acclaimed artist and per-
sonality; but in this case it cannot be otherwise.
