Einstein
requests
information "when
approximately
do
you
wish
to
receive the
paper
on
the
relativity principle."
The
paper in question is
Einstein

Einstein
accepted
Stark's
request
to
write
a paper

Dear Doctor Einstein:
At
our
seminar
in
the
W.S.
we
also wish
to
discuss
your
interesting papers
on
electrodynamics.[2]
If
you
still have available
reprints
of
your
article
in
the
Ann.
d.
Phys.
u.
Ch.,
Vol.
17,[3]
I
would be
grateful
if
you
would send
us a copy.
I
was
in
Zurich
recently
and
was
pleased to
hear
from
different
quarters
about the
great
interest
being
shown in
your
scientific
successes.[4]
With
best
regards,
yours sincerely,
H. Minkowski

Highly
esteemed Professor
Stark:
I received
your
letter
as
well
as your
postcard.[1]
It
is
good
that
you
drew
my
attention
to
Planck's
article
about Kaufmann's
experiments;[2]
I
did not
know
that
Mr.
Planck
had carried
out
an investigation on
this
subject.
I have
now
finished the first
part
of the
paper
for
your
Jahrbuch; I
am
working
diligently on
the
second
part
in
my
free
time,
which
is unfortunately
rather
scarce.
By
my
estimate,
the
whole
paper
will be
about
40
printed
pages long.
I
definitely
hope to
be able
to
send
you
the
manuscript at
the end of
this
month.[3]
I
designed
the
article
in such
a way
that, with its
help, anyone can relatively easily
familiarize
oneself
with the
relativity
theory
and its
applications
to
date.
I
have
taken
great
care
in
explaining
the
assumptions
used-as far
as possibley
I
have
introduced each
assumption
one
by
one
and have
traced their
consequences
in the
same
order.
Also,
I
