A translation project of The Collected Papers of Albert Einstein is being carried out
independently by Princeton University Press. Volume 7, containing translations of
selected texts, has been prepared by Alfred Engel, translator, and Engelbert
Schucking, consultant. These volumes, produced in paperback, are intended to be
read in conjunction with the documentary edition, as they contain none of the
editorial commentary of this edition.
