92. To
Wander and Geertruida de Haas
[Berlin,]
6 July
[1915]
My
dear
Friends,
Yesterday
night
upon
returning
from
Gottingen[1]
I
discovered
your
letter.
I
have
already
written to
a
dependable
furniture
mover
for
a
cost
estimate.[2]
The
removal
is undoubtedly
possible.
I
shall look
up
the
landlord[3]
in order
to discuss
any
return of rent with him.
I
am
not
going
to be here
the
second half of
July
(I am
going
to
Rügen).[4]
But
by
no
means
will
time be lost
as a
result,
since
I
would
authorize
someone
to
represent
me
in
the
matter. You shall
hear
from
me
again soon.
I
am
pleased
for
you
all
that
you are remaining
there,
mainly
for
your children,
for whom it
is
infinitely
better.
Good luck
on
the
experiment![5]
Affectionate
greetings, yours,
Einstein.

Highly
esteemed
Colleague,
I
am
in
agreement
with
your
representation to
the
extent
that
you
denote
as
your
view
everything
that
is
dubious to
me.
The
unprepared
reader
will
remain
in
the dark
on
many things, though. Perhaps you
would also
like
to
make
use
of
the
following
in
some
way:[1]
1)
If
by your
process
absolute
zero
is
reached
only
after
oo
many steps,
then
it
is
sufficient
proof
without
any
special
assumption.
2)
If
by your process
absolute
zero
is
already
reached
through
a
finite number
of
steps,
then
it
is
sufficient
proof only
if
you
assume
that
at
abs.
zero
it
can
be continued
on
in
the
manner
