In
response
to
your
inquiry
of the 24th of this
month,
I wish to
advise
you as
follows:
According
to
my
experience
it is not
advisable
to withdraw
a
student from the institution in which he
had begun
his
studies
even
if he is
a
so-called "child
prodigy."
In the
case
with
which
we
are
dealing
my
advice is to
persuade
the
person
in
question
to
complete
his
entire
course
of studies in his present
institution
and
pass
the matura
examinations.
If
you,
or
the relatives of the
young
man
in
question,
do not share
my
opinion,
I shall
permit
--
under exceptional
dispensation of
the
age
stipulation
--
that he
undergo
an
entrance examination in
our
institution.
In this I
proceed
from the
assumption
that the rector of the educational establishment
in
question is going to confirm in
writing
and to the fullest
extent
your
information
regarding the talents and intellectual
maturity
of
the candidate.
