sents the photographs taken by the British solar eclipse
expeditions proving light deflection by the Sun. Prove-

February 23 Reader’s letter by Dr. Ernst Wecker-Heilbronn published in
Vorwärts sent in response to attacks on Einstein in 19 Feb-
ruary issue of Deutsche Zeitung. Clarifies that Einstein was
born in Ulm and is, therefore, a citizen of Württemberg and
that he only obtained Swiss citizenship when he was 21
years old (“Der Kampf um Einstein,” Vorwärts, 23 February
Pauline Einstein is buried in the Maxstrasse cemetery of
