Dated on the assumption that Einstein to Mileva Einstein-Maric, 23 July 1920 (Vol. 10, Doc. 81),
is a reply to this document.
Mileva fell and sprained her foot on a trip to visit her sister Zorka, who had been moved from
the Burghölzli in Zurich to an institution for the mentally ill in Serbia (see Mileva Einstein-Maric to
Helene Savic, Summer 1920 [70 742], and in English translation in Popovic 2003, p. 126).
Einstein had suggested that he vacation with his sons at the end of September and stay with his
friend the pastor Camillus Brandhuber in Benzingen in southern Germany (see Einstein to Hans
Albert and Eduard Einstein, 4 July 1920 [Vol. 10, Doc. 70]).
Hans Albert Einstein.
Einstein had informed his sons that he had sent this amount to them in early July (see Einstein
to Hans Albert and Eduard Einstein, 4 July 1920 [Vol. 10, Doc. 70]).
