Proposes that AE approach the Rathenau family with a request to donate £5,000 for the purchase of 100 hectares of land in Palestine, on which an academy “of workers” should be found- ed in memory of Rathenau that would host prominent representatives of the “Jewish re- naissance” for short-term visits. From Hendrik K. de Haas 11 July 1922 Asks AE to deliver the sole lecture at the biennial general meeting of the Bataafsch Ge- nootschap in September in Rotterdam, usually held on Sundays. In addition to travel and accommodation costs, would provide a 300-guilder honorarium.
