Did
Forrer
ask
you
for
any
information? If
so,
tell
me
about
it
as soon as
possible,
so
that
I
can
inform
Prof.
Zangger.
By
the
same
token,
please
write
me
immediately
if
something
is
being
undertaken
against you.
Zangger
will
then
immediately
go
to
Forrer
again
so
that
a
careful
investigation
can
be
launched.
Zannger
told Forrer
very
little
about
you
and Schild in
particular,
but recommended
that
he
should
have
you apprise
him
of
the
grievances.
Forrer
went
wild
when
Z. told
him that the General
Telegraph
Office did not
want to
have
me as an
employee
a
few
years ago.
We
are
doing
fine
here,
even
if life
is
not
quite
as
pleasant
here
as
in
Switzerland,
quite apart
from the
fact
that
we
are
strangers
here.
They
have
no
water
here that
is
safe
to
drink unless
it
is boiled. Most
of the
population
does not know
German
and
displays hostility
toward
the
Germans.
Also,
the students
are
less
intelligent
and
industrious than
in
Switzerland. But
I
have
a
beautiful institute
with
a
rich
library.[5]
With
cordial
greetings
to
you
and
your
wife,

Prague, 11 July

Einstein
explains
to
the
printing
firm of
Zürcher
and
Furrer
of Zurich
that there
is
no
time for him
to
revise
his lecture and
turn
it
into
a
monograph.
He
requests
that
it
simply
be
printed
as a
lecture.
[Lec]ture
to be
labeled
in
a
fashion
like
this,
for
example:
The
Principle Theory
of
Relativity
Lecture
by
Mr.
...
delivered
at
the
meeting
of the
Zurich Natur.
Gesellsch
on
January
1911.[1]
I have
made
some
additional editorial corrections
on
the
proof
sheet,[2]
which I
am
sending
to
you together
with this card.
Respectfully,
A.
Einstein
