to
reply,
and
you
don’t have
to
struggle
as
much
as
when
you
have
to
think
up
everything yourself.
Kisses to
you
both
from
your
Papa
Kind
regards
to Mama.

To

Sciences in
Göttingen.
Highly
esteemed
Sirs,
I
thank
you
cordially
for the
kind
acknowledgment,
which
your
election of
me
demonstrated.[1]
It
is
my pleasure
to
belong
to
a
society
to
which science
is
indebted
for
so
much.
Most
respectfully,
A. Einstein.
172. To Hans Albert Einstein
[Berlin,]
25
December
[1915]
My
dear
Albert,
Nothing
has
delighted
me as
much for
a
long
time
as
your
postcard
with the
well-drawn
pictures by
both
of
you
and
the little
Zürcher
boy.[1]
Time and
again
I
take it out
of
my pocketbook
and look at it. But
now
you
must patiently
wait
out
the
couple
of months
as well,
my
son.
I
am
too
tired
out
for all
that
traveling,
have
only
little
time,
and also dread
the
great expense.
For
it,
I’ll
devote all
the
more
attention
to
you
in
April.
In the meantime
you
can
frolic
about
on
Zurich
Hill
on
your
new
sliding
boards;[2] go
outside
very
often
by
all
means,
so
that
you
become
strong.
Be
sure
you
and Tete
take the calcium chloride
I wrote
you
about
yesterday.[3]
Kisses
to
you
and Tete
from
your
Papa.
