Hospital,[4]
I
would also be
glad
about that. Borchardt
recently performed
an
operation
for
an
Einstein
family.
But
that
probably
was
another
one.
Nonetheless
I
asked
him,
if
it
can
be
arranged,
to
invite
you
and
me over one
evening,
for
I
really
would
like
to make
your acquaintance.
Again accept my
hearty
thanks for
everything
and do
not
forget
to
write the
dedication
in
the
book
and then
return
it
to
me again.
I
wish
you
much
success
in
your
continued researches and have
great
expec-
tations
of
it,
as
you yourself
also
do,
I
am sure.
With best
wishes for
your well-being
and for unslacked
energy
in
your
work,
I
am
yours
most
truly,
Prof.

Head Doctor

Univ. Clinic.

Zangger
Zurich,
21 February 1918
Dear friend
Einstein,
I
did
not want
to
bother
you
with
questions.
But
after
your
last
postcard,
a
clarification
is
necessary.
Most
importantly, you
must know
what the
situation
is
here.
We
were hoping
that the
sister would
assume
the
domestic chores.
How-
ever,
she has become melancholic and had to be
attended
to in
an asylum.[1]
In
the interim
a nurse
is
here who
is
taking
care
of
the
household. If
no
suitable
individual
can
be
found
for
a cheaper
wage,[2]
I
would
again suggest
that
your
wife be
admitted
to
hospital.[3]
Albert would
come
to
us on Berg
Street until
the
summer holidays,[4] as soon as
my
wife
has returned.
(Our
little
daughter is
presently ailing
from
a
lung
infection at Samaden District
Hospital.)[5]
We
would
put
your
little
boy
in
a
children’s residence in
a
healthy location,
such
as we
have
in
great
numbers here
in Switzerland.
I
hope
that
this would be feasible for Fr
5
and
51/2
per
day.[6]
With
greetings
from
your
respectful
colleague,
Zangger.
