DOCS. 495-497 MARCH-APRIL
1918 521
In
indulging
myself
in
the
hope
of
again receiving
a
letter
from
you
when
the
occasion
arises, I am,
in
expressing
my most
cordial
respect,
yours
most
truly,
F.
Kottler.

Wankmüller

March

To
Prof.
Einstein,
Berlin, 5
Haberland Street.
Esteemed
Professor,
With the
enclosed
I
convey
to
you
a
program
for
the
convention of
the
regular
members of
the
Scientific
Society
for Aviation in
Hamburg
from
16-18
April
of
the
cur[rent year]
for
your
obl[iging] perusal.[1]
Mr.
Maschke[2]
and
I
have
the intention of
attending
the
lectures
there,
and
I
take the
liberty of
inquiring
whether
your
state
of
health
permits your
attending
the
lectures
as
well.
It
goes
without
saying
that
my company
will
assume
the
costs for
the
stay
in
Hamburg.[3]-I
think the talk
by
Prof.
Prandtl
should be
of
very
particular interest[4]
and
allow
myself
to
propose
that
you
perhaps
order
the
printed text of
the
lecture for
study
which, as
the
prospectus
indicates,
is
available.
Mr. Maschke
is
member of
the
Scientific
Society
and would
like to
enroll
you
and
me as
members. For
this
a
second
sponsor
is
also
needed,
whom
Mr.
Maschke
suggests
be Dr.
von
Parseval.[5]
In
case
you
are
in
agreement, may
I
ask
you
to
inform Mr. Maschke of this and
likewise to
forward
both
prospectuses
to
the
same?
I
also
take this
opportunity to
wish
you
a
speedy recovery
and
a
happy
East-
ertide,
and
to
pay my
respects
as
yours
very truly,
R.
Wankmüller

Highly
esteemed
Colleague,
As
I
see
that the
calculational execution
of
the
theory,
about
which I
told
you,[1]
will
occupy
me
for
quite
a
long
time
still,
I
would
like
to
publish
a
report
