Im Interesse der Gesellschaft bitte ich Sie
dringend,
die Wahl anzunehmen: Es erwachsen Ihnen hieraus
sozusagen
keine
Verpflichtun-
gen.
Wenn Sie einmal bei
einer
Sitzung
der Gesellschaft sowieso in Berlin
sind,
führen Sie den
Vorsitz; sonst
werden Sie durch eines der hier wohnenden
Vor-
standsmitglieder
(in
erster
Linie
Rubens)
ersetzt.
Ihre eventuellen Bedenken
gegen
die Annahme der Wahl werden vielleicht durch
Folgendes
vermindert. Wir
waren
alle
der
Ansicht,
dass ein
Nicht-Berliner
Vorsitzender werden
solle.[2]
Da
fiel zuerst
die Wahl auf Herrn Max
Wien,
weil
dieser
gegenwärtig
viel in Berlin ist.
Da
dieser
wegen Überbürdung
mit
Militärgeschäften
ablehnte,
kam niemand mehr
in
Be-
tracht,
von
dem
wir hoffen
durften,
dass
er
oft
bei
den
Sitzungen
