for me—during the winter the climate is quite wonderfully pleasant, cool air
throughout, very warm sunshine.—The people very nice—nothing ugly all around
(whole city full of trees—very beautiful untouched nature in close proximity, con-
veniently reachable by car).—I’m yearning to go back there very soon. I love Cal-
ifornia very much, whereas eastern America, although quite interesting, not at all
attractive to me.—There was absolutely no rushing about for me in California, but
there certainly was in the East.
It would be particularly fun for me to be able to be in California once with you!!
I don’t quite know which year Millikan would like to have you—in any case,
definitely choose January, February, March for Pasadena, not later in the year!!
Millikan might look you up in Berlin, then you can tell him yourself.
