[Berlin,

1914][1]
D[ear]
Miza,
Yesterday
Mr. Haber
sent
for
me
and advised
me
to
add
another
comment
to
you regarding my letter,[2]
because
I
had said in it that what
remains of
my
confidence in
you
is just
enough
for
a
business
relationship.
It
remains
possible
that
I’ll
regain a
greater
degree
of confidence in
you
through
proper
behavior
on
your
part.
Let it be
as
he
wishes. No
one can see
into the future. In
any case,
I
don’t
consider discussions
about it
useful. Therefore
I
ask
you again
whether
you
want
to
live
with
me
under the
specified
terms.[3] Consider it and
give me a
clear
answer
with
no
ifs
or
buts
so
that
I
know where
I
stand.
Kisses
to
my
dear
boys,
Albert
Einstein.
25. To Robert
Heller
[Berlin,
20
July
1914]
Dear Mr.
Heller,[1]
I
am
terribly
sorry
that
you are
afflicted with this
so
painful
illness. If all
goes
well,
the
treatment will help
you!
This
summer
I
am
going
to stay here
in
Berlin, since,
as
you know,
I
have
not
yet
been here
for
long.
I like
it
very
much
here,
there
is
plenty
of
stimulation. The
people are
like
anywhere else,
but
you
can
make
a
better
selection because
there
are so
very many
of them.
I
have
not
done
anything of
real value here
yet
but rather
have rested
my
nerves a
bit,
as
befits
a
fellow getting
on
in
age.
Wishing you, your
wife,
and
your
little
child[2]
the
best
of health
and
happi-
ness, yours,
Einstein.
