been
agreed
is
that,
upon my
death,
Miza receives
Fr.
5
000;
additionally,
she has
another
Fr
10,000
in
the
bank
(her dowry).
If
you
add to
this that her
parents
also have
quite
a
bit,[10]
then
one
must
say
that the
children
are
provided for,
if
not
magnificently,
certainly
quite decently,
in
any
case
incomparably
better than
I
was
provided
for in
my
day.[11]
So let’s
leave
it
at
that.....
Dear
Michele! We’ll
be
seeing
each
other
again
soon.
My
health
is
decidedly
better than last
year.[12]
Elsa cooks
me
my
chicken
feed
indefatigably
every
three
hours,
and
I
keep calm,
am
usually
on
my
balcony.
Everyone says
I’ve
never
looked
so
well. Eventually
there
really
will be
peace again
sometime,
making
it
possible
to travel
more
comfortably again.
I’m
very sorry
that
I
can’t
see
my
boys.
But
I
think
that,
despite
Miza’s
associated
lamentations,
it
is
much
the
same
to
her
either
way.
Another
thing.
Tete has asked
me
for
a
handsome book
(travel
account).
Sending
this
from
here
is
very
troublesome
owing
to
censoring.
So
please buy
one
and send
it
to
him in
my
name.
Today
I
received
my
first
letter
from him.
Please write
me
the
price
next time.
Vero wrote
me a
very
nice
letter
in which he defended Anna. You would have
had
a
chuckle from it. Send him
my
best
regards,
also
to
Anna.
Warm
regards, yours,
Albert.

My
dear
Tete,
I
am
very
proud
that
now
my
second
boy
also
can
write
already!
Your
letter
delighted
me.
In
return, I wrote straight
away
to
Mr. Besso to have him
buy
a
book of travels for
you.[2]
I
hope you
have it
already. Sending
one
from here
would be
quite
complicated,
because
a
special permit
is
necessary.
Go out
very
often
on
walks
so
that
you get properly
well,
and don’t read
overly much,
rather
save some
for when
you
are
grown up.
You
are
probably enjoying
school[3]
very
much because
you
learn
so
easily
and because
it
is
fun to be
with
all those
boys
and because
you
are
anyway
a
chirpy
fellow
who
enjoys
himself
anywhere.
Kisses from
your
Papa,
and write
again
soon.
