1920 May 1 Announcement of his election as corresponding member of
the Danish Royal Academy of Sciences and Letters. Physi-

their letter (see 28 April 1920 in Vol. 9, Calendar), asks to
inform Methuen that he is demanding 4 cents per copy for
the addenda to the English edition of Einstein 1917a to be
published in the United States, rather than only 1.5 cents for
the American publication, because this amounts to the two
pence agreed upon for the English publication. If Methuen
does not accept this condition, he will withdraw his consent,
since it will be easy to find an American publisher. He
agrees to include these addenda in the next German edi-
tions, as well as a new supplement on the cosmological
problem, provided that he will receive 20% as remunera-
tion, because of the devaluation of the mark since the publi-
cation of the first edition. [42 038].
