To Harry Bergmann[1] [Kiel,] 12 November 1926[2] Dear Sir, Yesterday, Mr. Maschke[3] showed me all the documents regarding his relations with Mr. Bothe.[4] I ¢must openly confess that I was² am so ¢concerned² disappointed about Mr. Bothe’s behavior that I am no longer inclined to mediate between Mr. Bothe and Mr. Maschke.[5] This much is clear: no collaboration will ¢perhaps² be possible, ¢if² so long as Mr. Bothe has not withdrawn his challenge of the partnership agreement as well as the written allegations raised against Mr. Maschke with the expression of sincere regret.
