From Emil Rupp Göttingen, Bunsenstr. 9, 8 March 1928 Dear Professor, Having completed my experiments on electron diffraction in very thin foils during the passage of slow electrons, I would like to send you copies of my result- ing images.[1] From their analysis, I find ,[2] from 1.07 de- creasing to 1 with increasing beam velocity V. Setting ,[3] one finds for Ag,[4] nearly independently of V. I believe that Davisson’s assign- ment of the lattice parameters is not correct [5] if the assignment is made differently, then one finds there, also. Very respectfully, yours truly, E.
