Vieweg to transfer the 2/3 of 2,819.84 M not to AE’s bank

Jul 27 TLS from Vieweg. Vieweg apologizes for having sent a
reduced sum for the translation honorarium, due to a mis-
take of an employee. The difference of 470 M has been sent

Jul 28 TLC from Werner Richter. Max von Laue will stay in Ber-
lin. It was impossible to create a special position for him at
the Astrophysical Observatory, since only the position of
director is vacant. Proposes to form a board consisting of
AE and Laue, with responsibility only for scientific exper-
