The night in Stuttgart was very pleasant in a new hotel near the railroad station (Württemberger Hof). In about two days, I will go hiking with both boys.[1] I have to be in Geneva on the 22nd.[2] To- morrow noon I will be at the Karrs’s[3] (already scheduled). After Geneva, I will travel with Tete, perhaps to Chamonix.[4] Send me Ilse’s[5] address so I can write them. Warm regards to you and Aunt[6] from your Albert 322. To Elsa Einstein [Zurich,] 13 July [1926] Dear Else, I’m standing here on the Zurich train platform, on the verge of steaming off with Tete to Engelberg.[1] Then, we will hike over Joch Pass, Engstlenalp to Meiringen.[2] Yesterday evening, I was at the Karrs’s with Tete, where Edith was too, who is going to marry a physicist from here (Reis).[3] She looks very happy and fresh Karr looks aged. Albert remains firm but I think he will not get a job so quickly and—time will tell.[4] I am taking Tete along to Geneva.[5] But he will stay with Chavan.[6] Then, we will go somewhere in the mountains. Best wishes, your Albert 323.
