Warmest regards from—and don’t be angry with—your
A. Einstein.
340. To Elsa Einstein
[Leyden, 19 October 1924]
Dear Else,
I received your and Lina’s
letter.[1]
I’m thinking of arriving on
Saturday.[2]
I
don’t agree to the purchase of a new piano, unless you want to give yours away to
Ilse.[3]
But then it would also be better to wait until she has an apartment.
Ehrenfest[4]
had to tell me about the matter because I didn’t blindly give my ap-
proval.
Best regards to all of you, yours,
Albert.
341. From Fritz Haber
Honolulu, Mormon Temple, 20 October 1924
Here the world is full
of wondrous sweetness
mountains and sea
and friendship
greetings from
F. Haber & wife.
342. To Elsa Einstein
[Leyden, 21 October 1924]
Dear Else,
Go straight to the telephone and ¢telegra² inquire of the Russian embassy wheth-
er the entry permit to Russia for Dr. Crommelin in Leyden is lying ready in
Berlin.[1]
If yes, then send a telegram, so that the man can depart. If no, write a post-
card.
