[46 020]. 29. To Felix Ehrenhaft Berlin, 22 June 1927 Thanks for F. Ehrenhaft’s communication on the progress of his research. Has written Hans Albert Einstein to get in touch with the gentlemen in Vienna (see Vol. 15, Abs. 846). Has discussed the possibility of Ehrenhaft giving a lecture at the Berlin Physikalische Gesellschaft with W. Nernst. The schedule is tight, but Ehrenhaft should get in touch with K. Scheel, who manages the lecture schedule. TLC. [10 378]. 30. To Hans Albert Einstein Berlin, 22 June 1927 The gentlemen in Vienna inquired at some point of Hans Albert with F. Ehrenhaft (see Abs. 29). If they do not answer, it means they lost interest. AKS. [75 744]. 31. To S. Philipson Berlin, 22 June 1927 In reply to Abs. 25, regrets being unable to devote time to topics that lie outside his field of specialty. TLC. [47 869]. 32. To Raschko Zaycoff Berlin, 22 June 1927 In reply to Abs. 27, is unfortunately unable to submit G. Maneff’s paper for publication. What he seriously deplores is not that Zaycoff has dealt lightly in money matters, but that he has been disingenuous. Urges Zaycoff to take his examinations in Bulgaria as soon as possible, and not to rely on talent alone, since no one knows whether they will have the good fortune to find a grain of truth. TLC. [24 184]. 33. From Georges Oprescu Geneva, 23 June 1927 Submits report by Gonzague de Reynold on behalf of the Administrative Council of the ICIC. TLC. [82 836]. 34. Promises to return 190 M to AE, 155 M to Szilard, 60 M to Hugo Simon, and to take his remaining exams in October. Reports on his work. ALS. [24 186]. 35. To Moritz Schlick [Berlin,] 25 June 1927 Ready to introduce Miss Rosenberg to responsible persons in Palestine, and to recom- mend her. Is, however, against forming new independent organizations to avoid dissipa- tion of efforts. TLC. [21 597]. 36. To Paul Stier Berlin, 25 June 1927 Cannot comply with the request, since he is confining himself to strictly specialist matters. TLC. [48 511]. 37. From Friedrich Adler Bad-Nauheim, 25 June 1927 Referring to his last visit with AE, during which they discussed the matter related to plans by E. Mach’s son Ludwig, he has followed AE’s advice and has sent the necessary documents to Hugo Simon, who is interested in the subject. TLS. [17 476]. 38. To Ludwig F. Ganter Berlin, [26] June 1927 Complete ignorance in the domain of philology and linguistics makes it impossible for him to address Ganter’s remarks. TLC. [46 351]. 39. From Samuel J. Barnett Los Angeles, 27 June 1927 In reply to AE’s letter of 29 November 1926 (nonextant), regrets his poor handwriting. Discusses again his priority with regard to his work on magnetization by rotation in 1914–1915 (see Vol. 15, Abs. 616). TLS. [45 472].
