From Ferdinand Müller Solingen, 11 March 1929 In reply to Abs. 843, reports on his experiments with soundposts made of various mate- rials, and found no influence on the violin’s sound. This proves that the bridge vibrates together with the table and the body of the violin. A very exact agreement of their pro- portions is necessary. In practice, the construction of the body is the most important task to solve. Expresses his best wishes for AE’s birthday. TLS. [47 681].
