Has been in Palestine in spring, where he was asked by Arthur Biram, director of the Realschule in Haifa, to help in selling off some £2,000 in debentures is- sues by the General Mortgage Bank of Palestine. From Albert von Brunn Greifswald, 6 July 1926 Attached sends the draft of a letter of recommendation to Augustus Trowbridge, formu- lated after having a telephone conversation with AE. He does not mention the circum- stances of his leaving his position (see Abs. 527) because it might endanger the success, given the assumed prudery of the Anglo-Saxon Trowbridge. Nobody would blame AE for this non-disclosure if he is convinced of Brunn’s personal and scientific merits. ALS. [43 363]. 535.
