Archenhold Treptow-Sternwarte, Berlin, 14 October 1926 Sends issue of Weltall, containing the program for the Mars exhibition and requests that AE bring it to the attention of the ICIC. Knowing that AE is in Kiel, asks whether An- schütz has anything new to report connected to the gyrocompass. Has discovered a very interesting letter by Robert von Mayer. Planck, Paschen, and Laue also consider it of his- torical interest. TLS. [43 065]. 596. From Reta Anschütz-Stöve Munich, 15 October 1926 Was hoping to see AE again in Lautrach. Knowing of the brief pleasant time AE is spending with her husband in Kiel, is inviting him to Munich, and is returning a book he had forgotten with them. ALS. [37 400]. 597. To Simon [Kasimir Bett] Berlin, 16 October 1926 Will be glad to transmit the 500 M sent in Abs. 594, but is puzzled, since he never sent said solicitation, and would never allow a personal acquaintance be contacted in his name. Believes an error has occurred. TLC. [45 268]. 601. TLS. [34 936]. 603. From Fritz Haber Berlin-Dahlem, 18 October 1926 In reply to AE’s (nonextant) letter of 16 October, recommends that AE sign the attached application to the Notgemeinschaft, which he approves.
