From Isaac D. Levine, New American New York, 9 April 1926 Has earlier sent AE a copy of the book on Russian prisoners, Einstein 1925s, whose first edition of 2,500 copies is sold out. Informs of the ongoing U.S. fund-raising campaign with the goal of $6 million for Jewish relief and colonization. Requests AE’s opinion on the Jewish colonization movement in Russia and how it would affect the Palestine col- onization. TLS. [44 289]. 405. From Heinrich Löwy Vienna, 9 April 1926 AE has helped him in the past with his Earth exploration work (see Vol. 7, 65a in this volume). The detection of water under a stone layer from a ship is solved, but he wishes to pursue the experiments from airplanes and requests AE’s recommendation to French authorities, so that he can carry out experiments from planes above deserts, such as in Africa. He has built instruments based on Fizeau’s experiment and also on interference methods. Attaches a booklet in which AE’s visit to Josef Popper-Lynkeus is described. TLS. [44 358]. 406. From S. His father met with Weizmann in Tel-Aviv and submitted the same documents hopes his qualifications are evident. His father was a Zionist pioneer.
