From Eduard Einstein Zürich, 16 September 1925 Is busy in school, where he has been engaged in founding a class newspaper, a sample of which, containing some of his poems, he is enclosing. Has participated in a boys’ shooting competition and has received a six-bladed pocketknife as a prize. Has also been successful in a competition posted by a local greengrocer, and has received ten bananas as a prize for a poem. The cacti are doing very well some have sprouted. Mileva loves Ludwig 1926. He himself has been reading Nietzsche’s David Strauß der Bekenner und Schriftsteller. Will write again soon. ALS. [144 466]. 109. From Hans Ludendorff Potsdam, 16 September 1925 He gathered from a conversation that ministerial director Hugo Krüss is unaware of the time for the next board meeting, scheduled for 23 September at 5:15 P.M., and recom- mends that invitations be sent out once more. ALS. [11 295]. 110. From Hans Ludendorff Potsdam, 18 September 1925 Thanks for AE’s letter that gave him great pleasure and satisfaction. He had gained the wrong impression of AE’s position regarding himself and Erwin F. Freundlich. Hopes that AE will attend the next meeting of the board of Einstein-Stiftung and stresses that Krüss must attend, since his views are decisive. Indicates that he does not wish to chair the meeting and recommends Paschen instead. ALS. [11 282]. 111. From Erwin F. Freundlich Potsdam, 19 September 1925 Encloses Abs. 112 and hopes AE agrees with its formulation and will sign and forward it. Since Otto Jeidels, Ludwig Ruge, Arnold Berliner, and AE will be absent, proposes that the date for the meeting be postponed, since he himself will travel to Genoa and then to Sumatra.
